RED SOX WIN!!!

Yippeeee!!! Red Sox sweep the Rockies and win the World Series! I'd just like to point out that the year Zoe was born they won (2004) and the year Lily was born they won (2007). So I guess we have to keep having babies for them to win!??!? Not.

And the Pats won, too this weekend...making them 8-0. Next week's game against the Colts (8-0) will be a great game.

Okay....gotta go.

Lanny, Birthdays, and Ultrasounds....Oh my!

My mom came to visit us last week. We had a really nice visit and she was such a great help, especially while Steven was traveling. In addition to the chores around the house, she made lasagna and sewed slings for me (and one for Zoe). They turned out so beautiful! Thank you, Mom!!

We also spent last weekend celebrating Steven's Mom's birthday and Jodie's birthday (both on the same day!). We headed to Mark & Jill's house for lunch and cake (of course). All the cousins played together and we all got to visit with each other. It was a nice time - thank you RI Lewises for hosting!

Today is my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday, Momma! We sent her lobster tails for her birthday. She said she got them on Wednesday morning and had one for breakfast. Does she like lobster or what?!?!

We also had Lily's ultrasound this week. She was born with a sacral (spelling?) dimple and they wanted to make sure it wasn't affecting her spine. The great news is that she is fine! Yippeee!!! We also had her 1 month check up this morning which also went fine. She is weighing in at 9lbs, 3.7 oz - and is in the 50th percentile for weight and height. She's doing great!!

Zoe is at preschool now and heading on a field trip to the Pfaff Center (local community center) to have a little Halloween celebration. This past week Zoe's friend Freya came over and the girls played and made Halloween houses.

My Dad and Shella also arrived safely last night. They are staying in Cambridge for the weekend and then heading out our way Monday for the week. We are looking forward to seeing them.

Here are photos from my mom's visit and from the Lewis birthday celebration. I also have a small album of Lily at 4 weeks and the Halloween houses. Password for all albums is "guest."

Big Rig & Lily at 3 Weeks Old

Saturday Lily turned 3 weeks old! To me she is starting to look more like an infant and not so much like a newborn. She's also feeling better and seems to be almost over her little cold. Phew!

Unlce Matt and cousins Leslie & Mollie came up on Saturday to visit and to meet Lily. We took them to Medfield's annual Big Rig event. Then back to our house for some lunch and hanging out. Thank you CT Lewises for making the trip!

Yesterday we watched the Patriots beat the Cowboys!! Yahoo! Let's hope the Red Sox get their booties in gear and play well tonight. I can't believe they lost on Saturday!!!

My mom is coming up to visit tomorrow and staying for until Saturday. I'm excited about her meeting Lily. She'll also be here while Steven is traveling so her help will be greatly appreciated.

Love to you all.

Lily at 2 Weeks Old

Well, we've made it two weeks with Lily! She's a good baby and is starting to sleep longer stretches at night. She still has her cold but we're monitoring it closley. Luckily, still no fever.

Zoe is still doing great with her new sister. Although, she is starting to hug Lily really hard so we have to watch her sometimes. My hope is that she just REALLY loves Lily and doesn't want to just squeeze the life out of her.

Steven heads back to work tomorrow - boo hoo - which means some travelling this month. It's been so awesome having him on paternity leave and home for two weeks. I'm feeling a little stressed about him being gone but we do have lots of help coming this month. His mom is coming over tomorrow to help out my first night he's gone, my mom is comin next week, and then my Dad and Shella are coming the last week in October.

I've posted more photos from Lily's second week. Click below and remember the password is, "guest." Enjoy!

Zoe's NEW Dance Class & Pics of Lily With Mommy

Zoe started her new dance class today. She was reluctant at first but when she found out that her friend Freya was in the class she warmed up. Also, convincing her that she could practice her "Super Why" dancing was helpful, too.

Sidenote: Super Why is her new favorite PBS show. We love it, too because it teaches early reading skills. The only downside....the tv jingle gets stuck in your head..."Super readers to the rescue....."

Steven also took some photos of me and Lily today. The photographer often gets forgotten so we made a point to do a few shots with me and Lily.

Here are the photos from the day. Click on the link below and the password is "guest."

Our First Week With Lily

Our first week with Lily home has been rewarding and, like with any newborn, challenging. She is such a good baby and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. Nights have been hardest but it's partly due to Lily also having her first cold. That's right - she got sick her first week of life. It's been so sad to see her stuffed up but she is a tough little cookie. We did take her to the pediatrician and he said it'll have to run its course. But to help her we will saline/suction her little nose (which she just LOVES - kidding). Other than that Lily has been very easy going and we are learning about her more each day.

Zoe is really loving being a big sister. She is VERY helpful and is always concerned about Lily. It's amazing to see such a young person instinctively know how to be loving and nurturing.

Here are some photos from the first week. Also, I've finally posted all the pictures from her birthday (don't worry we didn't include the gory ones). Remember, to click on the link and the password is "guest." Enjoy!
