Lanny Visits & Getting Ready for Thanksgiving

Lanny visited us this past weekend and we really had a fun time. Zoe and Lanny played a lot while Mommy & Daddy raked leaves. We also got a little Chirstmas shopping done!

Zoe and I are getting excited and ready for Thanksgiving. Today, we went to our "Mini-Munch and Crunch" class where we made a cornucopia snack filled with yummy snacks (and then ate it). Then, we headed to CVS to pick up some Thanksgiving stickers. It must be my lucky day - I found a $5 bill on the ground! I'm off to buy a lottery ticket!

I've also updated my photography website so please feel free to visit it: www.nicolelewisphotography.com. I will be adding more pictures in the next few days, too.

Playing in Puddles

What fun it is to be a kid! We went outside today on this unseasonably warm Fall, New England day (temps to reach 66-70!). We had some rain pass through yesterday so Zoe put on her froggy rain boots and headed for the puddles.

Click here to see more photos and click here to see a short video. PS...please pardon our "leafy" yard - we haven't raked yet.

Zoe Starts Preschool!

Zoe started preschool this week - Monday & Wednesday. She did very well and seems to really like it. Here she is to tell you all about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZn0aAL-DVE

I also thought some of you might like this recipe. It's Rachael Ray's Italian Sub Stoup (a stew/soup). It's easy and DELICIOUS! I did make some modifications: decreased pasta, didn't do the bread (although I'm sure it's yummy - just trying to cut down on the carbs) and used Italian chicken sausage. Next time I might try using turkey pepperoni instead of "real" pepperoni. Enjoy!http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_30317,00.html?rsrc=search

Happy Halloween!

Zoe has her first trick-o-treating experience. She dressed up as a "beautiful butterfly" (her words) and went to cousin Christopher's house for some Halloween fun. The kids went trick or treating and then snacked on their treats.
