Steven has spent the past three days in Anaheim, CA for work. We miss him! He comes home tonight and Zoe and I are excited about that.
Zoe had her first "transition day" yesterday at preschool. She's officially moving upstairs to the preschool room on August 1st. The teachers said she did just fine and really enjoyed it. She even made a new friend, Meghan, who showed her the ropes and played with her.
Zoe and I are headed to Hinkley Pond for the day. It's suppose to be 90+ degrees today with high humidy. Plus, I've been having lots of pressure from the baby being low (a good sign I suppose) so the water will be a relief and Zoe can play in the water and sand.
We are headed to CT on Saturday for Leslie's birthday party. Happy 13th Birthday, Leslie! I can't believe she's a teenager already. When I met her she was 6 - boy how time flies.
Sunday I'm working my last official "staff associate" shift at Isis Maternity. I will continue teaching. Yesterday I finished up my 4 weeks series with the kiddos and got some really nice feedback from the parents. It made my day. I'm only teaching one class the next 5 weeks - a group of 15-20 month olds - and then taking the Fall off. Hopefully, if all works out for childcare, I'll be teaching again in the Winter.
My mom is coming in next week and I am looking forward to spending some time with her. My Mother Blessing is next weekend, too. I'm excited about that and looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating the new baby.
No pictures this time but I'll post some soon. Until next time.....
PS. I've added some new photos to my photography portfolio. Feel free to check it out: http://www.nicolelewis.smugmug.com/Portrait%20Portfolio

Belly Shots
Oh No, Steven's Sick, Too!
Well, Steven ended up getting sick, too. Friday night it hit him and he was glued to the couch all day yesterday. Poor guy! The good news is he is feeling better today and so is Zoe. I'm managing to stay free from it but I'm sure time will tell. So far, after a being exposed for week I seem to be fine. Must be the super preggo immune system!!

Zoe's Sick
Zoe's been sick these past few days. Tuesday she threw up most of the day, then felt better yesterday and is now back to being sick again today. Poor kid!! It's so hard seeing your own kid sick.
So, I'm sitting on the couch with her (she's sleeping at the moment) updating the blog, photos and working on some other photo gig stuff. I'll also update my pregnancy journal since I haven't touched that in months.
Ciao for now.

Sorry It's Been SOOOOOOO Long
I've been very bad about blogging (it's time consuming ya' know). I can't believe I haven't written since Mother's Day. Anywho....where do I begin?
The rest of May....we celebrated Memorial Day at our house with Steven's parents and Mark, Jill & Owen. We had a nice time and enjoyed watching the kiddos play.
In June, we were busy (hence me neglecting the blog). We took a trip out west (LA area and San Diego). Steven had business out there and Zoe and I came along to vacation. We went to Sea World, the Zoo and visited with family, too. My Dad and Shella met us there and we were able to spend some nice quality time with them. We also got to see some of the Pignatiello family since it was cousin Danielle's high school graduation.
When we returned, Steven was off to Sweden for a few days for work. He came home safe and sound (and with a couple pounds of Swedish chocolate! Boy is that stuff yummy or what?!?). Since then we've been busy getting into summer mode.
We've spent some time at the beach in Mattapoisett and at the local pond. The pond is really nice! Very shallow for kids, treated and patrolled by life guards. Having these water places while pregnant in the summer is certainly nice. I've also been busy with some photo gigs and I'm teaching three classes of Mommy & Me type classes through August. I really enjoy it!
Other updates...Zoe will be moving up to the preschool room on August 1st - we've been waiting a while for this to happen (space issue) so we are all very excited! The baby is growing a lot (subsequently so is my belly) and moving A LOT, too! Steven says my third trimester mantra is, "Baby's movin." I swear it feels like fireworks going off in my belly sometimes. If the way this baby is in utero is any indication of what's to come we are going to have our hands full. Either way I am getting very anxious to meet this little one. I wonder what she will look like: a clone of Zoe or completely opposite? We shall see...
Steven's work is good and he's been busy already getting house projects done. He finished a walkway that goes around the back of the house (it looks great!) and is getting ready to re-do the upstairs bathrooms. If you're thinking, "Hey didn't he do that already?" You're right! But the floor tile in both bathrooms didn't come out the way we wanted and my bathroom needs some tweaking. After that he is likely going to start on a deck off the playroom side of the house. Whew, I'm exhausted just typing about it. In addition to being a super hubby and dad, he's quite the handyman.
So I think that's the update. I will do my best to keep this blog more updated. Here are a list of links to photos in the past two months (just click on the title). I put them on a different site from Kodakgallery. I use this site for some of my pro work. You will need a password to view which is "guest" and it is case sensitive. Like Koadakgallery, if you want to order prints you can do so off this site. Until next time....
